Heading to Portland

Early Wednesday morning, I will begin the long, but incredibly exciting, cross-country trip to Portland, Ore., in preparation to cover the University of Akron men’s basketball team’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament in 23 years.
I am going on behalf of you, the loyal Akron Zips supporter, and hope to provide you with a first-hand account of the happenings of this momentous occasion, from Wednesday’s night public practice to Thursday’s first-round game vs. Gonzaga and potentially beyond.
I plan to provide pictures from my journey, game analysis and hopefully more throughout the week.
